Not such a baby anymore!

So, this morning Jordyn still wasn't walking. She would take a few steps here and there, but I wouldn't say "she can walk". This afternoon, I went to the scrapbook store with my mom for a couple of hours and I came home to a NEW baby! She's walking EVERYWHERE now! Forget crawling! Now that she's figured it out she's pretty quick on her feet. The kids were both so excited for her and cheering her on all afternoon (as were her proud mom and dad). She's even so proud of herself, and the smile she has on her face (like in the photo above) while she walks across the room shows it. Here she is...my big walking girl!...

"Enough of this!"

And this is when Ellie was trying to convince me that her doll "Amanda" walked across the room by herself too! "She willy did mommy, all by heself! Uh-Huh!"

And here's Boo just being his sweet little self

Ziggy also got a much needed bath today. I was surprised how much he enjoyed it and just sat there loving up all of the attention from Obee. It was also surprising to see Obee so sweet with him. Most of the time he just complains about him in his own little way, but I think deep down he really loves Ziggy. (Not that he would ever admit it!)

Allergic to my Wedding Ring?!

Well, after almost 7 years of wearing my wedding ring, I've suddenly become ALLERGIC to it! Can you believe this? Seriously, it's the wierdest thing, and I guess I'm just destined to be a married woman with no ring to wear, because it's not like I can afford to just go out and buy a new ring. Even if I could, who's to say I wouldn't be allergic to it TOO! About three weeks ago, I took off my ring because my finger was burning and itching underneath. It took literally that entire three weeks to heal up. It was all red and flaky and pretty gross. I thought I must have had some reaction to a cleaning product under there and that was it. I mean, I've never had this problem before! Well, put the ring back on yesterday and after just 10 hours of wearing it, my finger is worse than it was three weeks ago! It's all blistery and it hurts! I haven't been able to wear gold earrings in a loooong time because they hurt me, and now I guess it's gone to my finger too. :(

Our Sunday

What a funfilled day we had today. This morning started out with us going to a birthday party for the daughter of one of my friends. Hayden and her daughter are the same age (as are their younger sisters pretty much too) and they get along so great. They both sort of have that easy going, happy go lucky personality so they're a good match for friends. Anyway, the party was at the gymnastics place over by my parents house. The kids had a blast! They even ventured out a little and did stuff other than JUST the zipline this time!

After the party we went to my parents house, where Jordyn napped until dinner, my brothers sat around the living room, my dad napped in the chair, Obee cooked dinner for everyone, my mom scrapbooked, and the kids played on the waterslide. What did I do? Took pictures to entertain myself of course and record these special moments of not doing much of anything in time. I even got some pretty interesting pics of their dog Harley. haha.

Bike Ridin' Fools

This morning, I hit a few garage sales and boy did I ever get some great deals! I found the best garage sale where I got two shabby sheek quilt sets for the girls room (the ones they sell at target currently), two fuscia down comforters with white polka dots and matching shams for the girls room, a super cute comforter for Hayden's room with sham AND a gorgeous quilt for my own bed! I couldn't believe it when the lady told me she was only asking $1, yes that is NOT a typo, $1 per comforter set!!!!!!!!! I had to buy them all, how could I refuse??? At the next garage sale I stumbled upon, I found a super cute bicycle for Obee and I! We've been looking for one, but haven't been able to find anything cheap enough for the type I wanted. It's a cruiser style navy blue bike with a big comfy seat and I love it!
The kids insisted we had to try out the new bike, so we took a ride over to the park by Jamba Juice. Obee and I took turns riding and pushing the stroller. It was SOOOOOO HOT HOT HOT! The kids were tired when we got home and fell right to sleep for the night!
The kids cooled off by pooring water over their heads, which they thought was pretty funny!

And here they are all zonked out!

Sick Girls

Well early last week, I noticed that Jordyn and Ellie were both coming down with a cold. Then on Friday, I felt it coming on too, but not too bad. It has gotten worse and today I think I actually have the FLU, not just a cold. I've felt pretty crappy all day, my chest and head hurt and I've got chills and am all sweaty and gross. Obee is working in San Jose once again this weekend and wasn't really around much last week either. I wish I could just spend the day in bed!!!!!!!! I guess that's not a option, since I've got three little ones here that need me to do my job. I was looking forward to putting them to bed tonight, but when I put the kids down to watch a movie this afternoon (trying to get some relaxation myself) miss Ellie fell asleep. I didn't have the heart to wake her up since she's not really feeling good either, so now who knows what time we'll get to bed tonight. At the moment, we're laying in my bed together while she watches Caillou and I keep myself busy online, trying not to fall asleep. uh oh - Jordyn just woke up. I'm off to nurse her and hopefully she'll go right back to sleep! Bye!

I'm a Big Kid Now!!!!

Can you believe this little peanut of ours can actually ride this new 16 inch bicyle of hers with ease??? I don't think I would believe it myself, it I didn't see it in person! I got this bike for her at a garage sale last weekend for free, yes FREE! It was considered garage sale leftovers that didn't sell and when I saw it sitting there with the free sign, I snatched it right up. It's a "princess" bike, which I knew she would totally love because she's suddenly all about the Disney princesses. Not sure I'm thrilled with her Princess admiration, but oh well. When I got it, I never dreamed that she would actually be able to ride it yet! As soon as we put Hayden's old training wheels on it she hopped right on it and mastered it pretty quickly. We took a walk/bike ride all around the neighborhood this evening and she had no problem whatsoever keeping up. (I had been a little worried that I would end up pushing a stroller AND have to get her bike home when she would tucker out, but no!) She looks so funny riding it, because even with the seat set on the lowest setting, her feet are still about 6-7 inches above the ground, just dangling when she's not riding. Thanks for letting me brag!

Strawberry Pickin'

Well Obee is working in San Jose again this week and the kids and I have been going soooo stir crazy stuck in the house due to the HORRIBLE air quality from all of the fires in CA. It is so bad that it actually smells smokey outside and the sky is dark and gray and ugly. That combined with our 110 degree temps this week make going outside pretty unbearable! This afternoon we just HAD to get out and decided to go strawberry picking over at the High Hand Nursery. They have THE most beautiful nursery I have ever seen! Now I really want to do my next portait session over there! They have a huge strawberry patch that is open to all kids to come anytime and pick a bucket of free strawberries. The kids had the best time, even though the air outside was icky and we were dying of heat exhaustion! They filled their buckets up pretty quickly and we went over to Gramma and Grampa's afterward to share our berries. Jordyn also got to eat her first strawberries while we were there and she was begging for more and more.

Sitting by the koi pond waiting for our strawberry buckets
Ooooh! Misters! The kids loved walking under the mist from the nursery to cool off
Strawberry buckets, or hats?
Here Ellie is washing her strawberries for Jordyn to snack on while we finished our pickings Showing off the goods after we were all done

When in Doubt....Bring out the Bubble Machine!

I forgot to set this thing up at Jordyn's party, so we set it up for her the next morning and OH MY GOODNESS, this girl LOVES the bubble machine!!!!! She had so much fun catching and clapping at the bubbles. She kept on making this hilarious growling laughter noise when the bubbles got in her face. We got it all on video, but I had to share the pictures here too! Maybe one of these days I'll get around to adding the video clip on here!

Our House

I know there are some of you out there that I've spoken with recently that haven't seen our house yet...so....I thought I would put up some pictures of it. I know, I know, it's only taken me 6 months, but oh well!
The Front & Back of the House. Obee built the deck in the backyard and he put in the koi pond you see in the pictures. You can't see the top of it, but you can walk out on the deck from the playroom upstairs.
