Strawberry Pickin'

Well Obee is working in San Jose again this week and the kids and I have been going soooo stir crazy stuck in the house due to the HORRIBLE air quality from all of the fires in CA. It is so bad that it actually smells smokey outside and the sky is dark and gray and ugly. That combined with our 110 degree temps this week make going outside pretty unbearable! This afternoon we just HAD to get out and decided to go strawberry picking over at the High Hand Nursery. They have THE most beautiful nursery I have ever seen! Now I really want to do my next portait session over there! They have a huge strawberry patch that is open to all kids to come anytime and pick a bucket of free strawberries. The kids had the best time, even though the air outside was icky and we were dying of heat exhaustion! They filled their buckets up pretty quickly and we went over to Gramma and Grampa's afterward to share our berries. Jordyn also got to eat her first strawberries while we were there and she was begging for more and more.

Sitting by the koi pond waiting for our strawberry buckets
Ooooh! Misters! The kids loved walking under the mist from the nursery to cool off
Strawberry buckets, or hats?
Here Ellie is washing her strawberries for Jordyn to snack on while we finished our pickings Showing off the goods after we were all done

I do think they are adorable you know. They were wilted when they got here! G & G went out to buy ice cream to have with out strawberries. TY to my grands and their mommy for weathering the HEAT!
