Gold Rush Days!

Aleanea told us about the Gold Rush Days that were happening this weekend in Old Sac while we were scrapbooking on Friday night. We thought it sounded like a lot of fun and decided to go there and meet up with Aleanea's family and Sara's family. I'm really glad that we went, because the kids had a great time panning for gold, watching a cowboy reenactment from the Old West, and participating in all the gold rush activities. The streets of Old Sac were closed down and a bunch of dirt had been hauled in to give a real old time effect. The kids had a blast. Afterward, we went and got our favorite frozen yogurt at Mochii downtown and admired a few of the art squares from the chalk it up event that was happening at the park across the street from Mochii.

Here they are panning for Gold with Obee...
And weighing their gold out so they could cash it in for a gold nugget and a certificate worth $16 which they could use to participate in all the activities...

This was so funny! Jordyn is always stealing snacks from her friend Isabella. Right here, she noticed that Isabella had a snack tray on her stroller and she ran right over to steal something. Isabella caught on that Jordyn was after her snacks and kicked her out of the way! Normally, she just lets Jordyn steal all her food, so it was funny to see her finally defend herself. (Jordyn was just fine, just a little stunned at the "new" Isabella!)

Petting a Donkey...

Bowling "old school style"....

My girls lovin' on each other!
